Cathy Pescevich Kreplin  

 

As Executive Producer for Ascencion Recordings, Ms. Pescevich draws upon her experience in music industry and business management as well as in performance.  She has held the position of Development Director for WRVS-FM radio, Jazzy 89.8 ECSU.  She has previously worked for Vanguard Records as staff engineer/editor, A&R and Quality Control; for Digital Recording Systems as editor; and for NBC and RAI (Italian) television as production assistant.     Pescevich Kreplin holds a double concentration Bachelor of Science Degree in Music (voice/flute) and Technology (audio engineering) from New York University. She also studied music, theater and production at Yale University, The Actor’s Studio (NYC) and The Institute of Audio Research (NYC). Among her voice teachers have been Marianna Busching (Peabody Conservatory) and John Kuhn (Metropolitan Opera Chorus).  Performance background includes off-Broadway and regional musical theater, studio musician (NYC), Masterworks Chorus (DC), Troubadors Nouveax - touring guitar/soprano duo.  She is currently a professional core member of the Virginia Symphony Chorus under the direction of Robert Schoup.
